Many of you have wanted to know how the last Pro D Day camp went and finally, here is an update. We had about sixty kids, many of whom we'd seen before but some were entirely new. We had a great team of volunteers, young and old, with hearts ready to serve the kids. The theme of the day was Space, which came out in the various stations the kids went to. There was a craft station where they made stained glass galaxies, a wide game where the kids built space ships and then had to hunt for moon rocks and at the memory verse station, the kids learned
There were three skits the children watched that were spread out through the day. The skit followed the exploration of Captian Ricardo and his ship of adopted aliens. Their mission: to seek out other orphans and adopt them into their family. They landed on the planet Triffid, which had suffered a volcanic disaster and met an orphan named Gibby. Gibby joined them but disobeyed, falling into peril. Captian Ricardo sacrificed himself to save Gibby's life, and then later escaped alive and offered to adopt Gibby. All Gibby had to do was say sorry and ask for forgiveness.
